Life insurance: automatic $50,000 coverage

You are eligible for a $50,000 coverage without any medical exam! In the event of your death, this protection can cover your debts, your mortgage or estate legacy.

Until June 30, 2023, your Service Corporation will pay your premium for you. Afterwards, you can continue to benefit from this low-cost insurance as follows:

30 to 34 years old $2.45/month $3.54/month
35 to 39 years old $2.45/month $3.54/month

Disability insurance: up to age 65

You are automatically eligible for a monthly disability coverage of $1250 without a medical examination, so you can meet your obligations in the event an illness or accident prevents you from performing your duties as a notary. This insurance includes:

  • benefits payable until the age of 65
  • a maximum CPI indexation of 3%
  • 90-day waiting period

Until June 30, 2023, your Service Corporation will pay your premium for you. Afterwards, you can continue to benefit from this low-cost insurance.

Did you know that...

The law on drug insurance considers notaries under 65 years of age, who are members in good standing of the Chambre des notaires du Québec, as not eligible for the public prescription drug insurance plan. You must join the drug insurance plan negotiated by the CNQ, for you, your spouse and your dependents if you are not already covered by:

  • your employer
  • your spouse's employer's plan
  • the plan of another association of which you are a membere
